Dani & Bennardo had their dream wedding on their family run farm in southern Alberta, although it looked nothing like a rural Alberta wedding. With Dani’s vision, impeccable style, and high end taste, their wedding day was delicate, vibrant, and full of sentiment.
The day started by being surrounded and embraced by their family, as everyone on the Groom's side gathered together for a home cooked brunch in their large German inspired cottage kitchen. Bennardo and his Groomsmen hurried up to the loft to get ready for the day and enjoy a toast together, while the ladies were just down the road enjoying a toast of their own, before Dani slipped into her dream off the shoulder Milla Nova gown. The Ukrainian designer has always been Dani’s favourite, and the silhouette she chose was absolutely made for her. Bailando Boutique makes it possible for European designers to find their way into the hands of North American brides.
Dani’s glamorous classic Hollywood waves by Breanne at Lively Salon lasted all day long in the hot summer sun, and all through the night without a hair going astray. The same can be said for her expertly applied makeup by Kim at Positive Reflections Spa. This stunning bride’s features were subtly highlighted, with her natural beauty clearly shining through.
As nerves started to build, Bennardo looked out over the river valley awaiting their emotional first look, after which they shared their personal vows in their backyard, surrounded by flowers Dani had been planting and caring for specifically for this moment.
A quick champagne pop, and some portraits with their beloved dog Azai, and they were off to their ceremony in style thanks to their family friend and his mint condition sapphire blue car. A nod to their custom matching blue sapphire wedding bands.
Arriving at Broxburn with the white peaks of garden tents from Lethbridge Custom Canvas, and golden chiavari chairs from Lethbridge Event Rentals, Dani’s hope for a tented garden wedding came to fruition. It almost seemed like an impossibility with the regular summer winds, however, their day was calm and full of light. With vintage inspired parasols and fans to ensure the comfort of their guests in the summer sun, white pillars, whimsical white roses and baby’s breath by Dona at Twisted Hummingbird Florals, Dani and Bennardo were an absolute vision walking down that aisle.
An open bar, lawn games, cigars for the gentlemen, and a private cake cutting between the newlyweds would be the start to an evening full of heartfelt toasts, tears, and laughter.
Before the sun fully set over the rolling hills and coulee's, Dani & Bennardo enjoyed some time alone surrounded by the sunflowers Dani had recently planted, in the hopes they would bloom for their wedding day, and a first dance in ‘Dani’s Garden’. One of the most romantic moments of the day…
They then rejoined their guests for one last toast with a champagne tower, and without anyone fully noticing, Dani slipped away into her reception dress. This beautiful Bride and Groom danced the night away surrounded by vibrant lights, silver sparkles, so much love, and ascending clouds - making you wonder if it was all a dream.
